Hi everybody, my name is WallyWord<\/strong>…I\u2019m a blogging addict, and it\u2019s been seven months since my last post.<\/p>\n

Impressive as it may be to give something up for seven months; this particular stay of addiction isn\u2019t encouraging.\u00a0 With a job which takes me daily to the bottom of Manhattan and is a time-eating large commute \u2013 looking at the computer screen, even on the weekends has become less attractive.\u00a0 You could say I\u2019m in a blogjam<\/strong> of sorts.<\/p>\n

Sure, suppose I could try the voice-activated writing route, but after continual nagging by electronic wenches Siri, and Jane, my GPS, I\u2019m not really interested in chatting up a computer either in the evening or on weekends.<\/p>\n

Sometime the creative juices just go on hold, much the way my hair did in the early 90\u2019s.<\/p>\n

It’s not like interesting things haven\u2019t happened in the last seven months to chat about, it\u2019s just I haven\u2019t been able to put \u201cpen to paper.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0Even my co-conspirator Hudson<\/a><\/strong><\/em> has been lab-a-daisical about writing posts, just unable to put \u201cpaw to paper.\u201d<\/p>\n

The good news is the world and our society are pretty much an open buffet<\/a><\/strong><\/em> of content ideas for the cynical writing team at WallyWord. Sure, we\u2019ll grab a plate and take a spoonful of Obamacare<\/a><\/strong>, just a couple of slices of NSA leaks<\/a><\/strong>, one lost plane, and a soup bowl of climate change. Don\u2019t forget to help yourself to drones of all sizes, a boiled Donald Sterling<\/a><\/strong> from the Clippers, the overdone Kimye wedding<\/a><\/strong>, and finish with a big helping of legalized marijuana<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I’ve decided that abstinence (I know, absence; work with me) doesn’t make the heart grow fonder; it makes one\u2019s followers disappear.\u00a0 The sad thing is in reviewing our reader statistics that a few of them keep circling back every once in a while to see if WallyWord has emerged from creative hibernation. Followers you can always count on are the spammers, who are signing up in droves weekly.\u00a0 Like mail-order brides<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, my guess is they want something more than love from our site.<\/p>\n

If you’ve gotten this far in this post, you\u2019re probably thinking “have I dropped into a Seinfeld episode,” and \u201cis anything really happening here?\u201d\u00a0 Actually, this post is really the first step in a two-step program recognizing that WallyWord has a problem and we\u2019re here to announce we\u2019re dealing with it.\u00a0 No more waving off the family platter of creativity, its time to dive back in to our addiction in full force.\u00a0 We\u2019ll be careful not to fall off the wagon too quickly.\u00a0 Everything in moderation, of course.<\/p>\n

Sit down, napkin in your lap and stay tuned to WallyWord for a progressive dinner<\/a><\/strong> of sarcasm, wit, deep inner perspective, and engaging dialogue on today\u2019s most critical issues.<\/p>\n
